For Thanatos (the Death of a Mage):
Ralen wandered through Chorrol happily enough, deciding not to do the crazy Speaker M'aiq's contract until nighttime. In the meantime, she'd do Thanatos's one, and try to avoid the Fighters Guild. Not to mention do her shopping.
Not part of the Mages Guild, Ralen decided that it'd probably be hard to gain entry. But then and again, nothing like a good challenge. Perhaps she'd just sneak in. Or say something about a wondrous magical artifact found on the mountains. But no, that'd be too suspicious.
Ah well. She had plenty of disguises.
Deciding to try the direct approach, Ralen walked up to the door of the Mages Guild, while casting a wary glance at the Fighters Guild next door. She shrugged. Plenty of time to deal with them later.
Upon entering, she was immediately greeted by guild members asking if she would like to join. Ralen shook her head. "Nope, just taking a look around. For some books and stuff, you know? Have I ever told you about this fascinating book I found in a cave? It went like this..."
The guild member looked uncertain, and moved away. Ralen smiled inwardly. Sometimes, the guise of an innocent, all-too-hyper Bosmer youth was quite useful. And it was distracting enough. Sometimes, she had a small twinge of conscience...
But it was just sometimes. And it was very small.
The little Bosmer looked around curiously. There were lots of things that weren't well guarded. Everyone seemed to be busy. Still, she should get on with her mission.
Going upstairs, she used the key that Thanatos had given her to open the door. Her target, Tenavila or something, whirled around, surprised. Ralen smiled pleasantly. "Eh, wrong way?"
She turned as if about to leave, and noted that Tenavila also turned back to his studies, seeming to be absorbed in it. Ralen decided that she won't get another chance like this.
Closing the door without a sound, she suddenly lunged at the mage, one hand closing expertly around his mouth, and the other wrapped around his neck. Cutting his throat would be easier, but it wasn't what she had in mind.
She suddenly threw her weight back, snapping his neck. Letting his still-warm body slide to the floor, she crept back to the door, opened it, and peered out. Nobody there.
Dragging Tenavila's body to the highest step, she pushed it down, and escaped through the window in the ensuing chaos.
((I'll do your contract later M'aiq.))
