As the steel door opened, it revealed to Hus the remains of what used to be the Fighter's Guild. Entering through the doorway with constant vigilance, the Steel door clamped shut behind him.
Creeping his way down the doorsteps, listening intently to the pitter-patter of boots against stone grow fainter and fainter, Hus finally made it to the bottom of the steps and into the Main Hall. Right as he entered, he was charged by two golden statues (I assume Golden Saints are statues) charged him, raising their fists to cave his head in.
Caught by surprise, Hus could not move in time and closed his eyes, accepting the awaiting blows, but they never came. He opened his eyes and saw that the statues stopped a couple feet away form him and were staring at something behind him. Hus looked at the reflection on one of the statue's polished torso and saw a cloaked figure move out of the shadows behind him.
Hus made an about face and drew his club, holding his weapon in front of him to block any attacks that would come toward him. He eyed what seemed to be the 'sanctuary shadow' warily, waiting for what would come next.
(Meant for M'aiq to start.)

(They're the Daedra kind of Golden Saints, like in Shivering Isles; also, this is the Blackwood building, heh.)
M'aiq had caught the scent of a new being in his sanctuary, but he had heard no noise. To quench his curiosity, he stood and began to look around his basement. He at first saw nothing. M'aiq grunted wearily as he stood and began walking around to find the source of the new scent.
As he looked, he thought to himself. M'aiq can only hope this isn't going to lead to trouble. Or spiders. Ugh, the Khajiit sure doesn't like spiders. There are much more spiders here than in Morrowind. There are more calipers here though. Where did M'aiq put his new pair? He couldn't have left them upstairs. Or did--
He stopped abruptly as he nearly ran into a Dunmer with his weapon drawn. By the looks of his quick reflexes, M'aiq immediately assessed him as an assassin. Being so defensive, he only hoped that he wasn't an assassin sent to kill him.
M'aiq raised his hands in a non-aggressive manner and quickly stated, "Hey, there, Dunmer! We needn't club the Khajiit! Eheh. Now, may I ask who the mer is, and why he is here? Oh, and how he got all the way down here without M'aiq even noticing?"

(I got it all down.)
Hus eyed the 'sanctuary shadow',letting the exposed Khajiit have his speak and seeing the feline raise his hands. After deeming him not a hostile, the Dunmer sheathed his club, but kept his hands poised to strike as he was still a potential threat.
"Hmm, suspicious but extravagant robes, is surrounded by an aura of death and, is that a twinkle of a sense of humor I see? You must be the leader of this... club." said Hus as he eyed those who stopped and stared, but kept on with their business. "But, is it not manners to state your name first before asking, neh?"
The red haired Dunmer held a slight smile on his face, but inside, his mind was raging with questions, the main being, "Why is the smell of blood so strong here? ... No... I couldn't have. If it is true then I cannot believe my luck, or maybe my lack there of."

M'aiq let out a bit of a scoff at the Dunmer's words. They were typical of their type, so many high and mighty words. They seemed ever-condescending. Who was this mer to judge M'aiq anyway? The Khajiit didn't let the words bother him. He simply placed his hands into his pockets and smiled at the mer.
M'aiq replied sarcastically, "Well, you seem to just know everything about M'aiq, don't you? He could swear you have been stalking him! Also, as the leader of this 'club', M'aiq thinks he should be able to define the meaning of 'manners', neh? The Khajiit must say that is a fun word, but that's beside the point..."
He paused a moment before continuing with a more serious tone, "Now, M'aiq is certain the Dunmer did not venture down to this basement to lecture the Khajiit about manners, nehey?" He let out a slight chuckle.

Hus frowned at the now named M'aiq's sarcastic tone, but remained polite as it was what anyone should do when speaking to those who hold power, "I wouldn't say I know all about you, just the simplicities. But since you have given me your name, I shall give you mine. My name is Hus Glemme, a pleasure to meet you M'aiq." he gave a bow along with his last sentence, but kept eye contact with the robed Khajiit.
"Now, for the reason I am in your basement. While I was walking through Leyawiin, one of your members I believe, caused an explosion. He ran off and I followed him here, set on disposing of a threat and possibly acquire some new armor, as mine doesn't even compare to what I have seen." With that, Hus waved an arm across his body, drawing M'aiq's eyes to his leather armor.
"I followed him into this building," Hus continued. "and followed him down to the basement. But I see that I have made a mistake, for i do believe I do not want a quarrel with a Speaker for the Dark Brotherhood."

M'aiq perked his brows a bit at receiving a bow. No one had really shown a great deal of respect to the Khajiit before or treated him as a full on superior. He was a superior now; he'd have to learn how to be respected as such. It would be quite different for him. He realized he should have been listening to the mer and focused his attention.
"...caused an explosion. He..."
An explosion? M'aiq missed an explosion? Aw, how sad, the Khajiit thought. The man seemed to be motioning towards his own leather armor. Okay, M'aiq sees the armor; now, what about it again?
"But I see that I have made a mistake, for I do believe I do not want a quarrel with a Speaker for the Dark Brotherhood."
There was that respect again. It felt good that just having a title meant people would leave M'aiq alone. He felt good about it.
"Hmm," M'aiq gathered some words quickly, "that is...a story. Mhm, it is..." He looked upwards at the high ceiling, wonder what to tell the Dunmer. He stated, "Well, there is no quarrel here. If you were a Bosmer, then we would be having some problems, but you seem interesting. Have you ever killed anyone?"

Hus gave a malicious smile, "I have, many a time. It is necessary in my current line of work." Inside he was overjoyed. "So, starts the beginning of a new end. Skygge, you hopeless fool, you have no idea of what you have left behind."

M'aiq was inwardly repulsed by the Dunmer's vicious grin. Generally, Dunmer didn't smile freely, so this definitely meant something. The Khajiit was mildly interested in finding out.
"Ah," M'aiq said with a nod, "a killer. Well, that's quite interesting. Then, you came to my sanctuary for a reason. M'aiq would like to know about this 'line of work' you speak of."

Hus's grin quickly disappeared from his features when M'aiq asked about his occupation. "It... does not bring any honor to the hunt, but if you must know, I am a lowly bandit. I am looking for a new line of work so I can gain back what I have once lost." said Hus with a frown.
"The killings I make are mostly nothing but the slaughter of innocents, but what can one do when he has a who wants you dead looming over your shoulder at all times." Hus let out a sigh, all the disappointment rushing back to the forefront of his thoughts.

M'aiq grinned lightly as Hus spoke. He was vaguely reminded of himself. Of course, his thievery was more of an uncontrollable impulse than an occupation. Stealing calipers didn't put bread on the table, just calipers, which M'aiq seemed to find more enjoyment from than bread. M'aiq felt as though this Dunmer was a person he could tolerate and maybe even like.
The Khajiit said, "Allow me to offer the chance to join our family, then. Your previous murders place you in Sithis' loving arms already. Now, it is only a matter of initiation should you choose to accept M'aiq's offer. The Khajiit would enjoy having such a killer as yourself in his family. Also, M'aiq assures that you would find some protection from those wishing your death."

Hus responded with a grin of his own and said, "I accept your generous off. If I can succeed in my initiation, then I shall serve you well. But I must ask, who is this Sithis fellow you speak of? I know very little of the Brotherhood."

M'aiq's smile grew as he replied, "M'aiq is glad to hear this. Hmm, who is Sithis, you ask? Well, in all honesty, it beats M'aiq. Just know that Sithis is always watching, as is the Night Mother. They take care of the family, or so the Khajiit likes to believe."
He shrugged briefly before continuing, "M'aiq has an initiation quest that is something you're familiar with, bandits. You must go to the cave called Ande’s Cavern north of Leyawiin. There lives a lone Redguard thief named Ande who’s aged quite a bit. He was once the ringleader of a group of thieves, but now this group yearns to be rid of him and his many bothersome health ailments. Eliminate him, and you will prove yourself worthy of this family."

"... and you will prove yourself worthy of this family" said M'aiq. "And get a suit of shiny new armor." thought Hus at the end of his Speaker's sentence.
Now given his assignment, Hus began to plan out his 'meeting' with Ande. "I shall begin right away Speaker. May you always walk in Sithis's shadow." With that said, the red haired Dunmer climbed the basement stairs and left through the front door, eager to have his fun.

M'aiq kept his smile on as he watched Hus take his leave. He thought to himself, M'aiq wonders how the Dunmer would react if the Khajiit locked the door before he got back. He laughed to himself as he moved over to his desk, placing both of his feet on top.
"Well, that prank would take work, like walking all the way up the stairs," M'aiq mused through a brief yawn. "The Khajiit would rather have a nap about now."
The Khajiit closed his eyes and drifted off as he sat at his desk.

Hus stood in front of the entrance to what seemed to be Leyawiin's Fighter's Guild, wondering if the door was locked or not. He reached out and pulled on the handle, slightly surprised that it opened. He entered the sanctuary and proceeded down the basement steps.
Entering M'aiq's chamber, he strode over to his Speaker and said, "I have completed my initiation. It was most... pleasurable. l look forward to more contracts like this one."
