Ralen, being Ralen, was totally unfazed by the "death glare". On the contrary, she bounced excitedly after Crohaven. "Say, can you teach me to do that? Glaring at people like that, not summoning demonic horses I mean. Although I would like to learn how to summon a demonic horse. Where did you learn it anyway, if you're not supposed to? And if necro-whatsitcalled isn't allowed in the Mages Guild, why is it allowed in the rest of Cyrodiil? And if it's allowed, why do you care?"
So many questions to ask, and not enough time to ask them. Ah well. Such were the ways of the world.
Trailing after Thanatos, burning with curiousity, Ralen was dissapointed to find him doing nothing but chanting. Really, she was expecting some skulls. The little Bosmer tried to remember the words, but they hurt her head.
After a few seconds, Ralen started fidgeting. "Done yet? I'm bored." She complained.

While I was still quietly chanting to myself I could hear Ralen's jaw flapping about. Even though her questions were valid, I really didn't want to answer them at all. But, it is my sworn duty as a Mage to answer these kinds of questions.
Once I was finished summoning the demonic horse for Ralen, I cleared my throat and began thinking about the proper answers I would tell her. Then again I could always answer her questions while we were traveling up the road. So I motioned Mortus to come to me and, he did as he has always done.
Once I was mounted on Mortus I waited until Ralen was mounted on the Demonic steed that I had summoned...Once she was mounted on the horse I pointed Mortus in the direction that I wanted to go and, he did the rest, such a smart horse. Once we were far enough away from the city and people I began to answer herr past questions.
"To answer your first question Ralen, no I can't teach you my glare, for its a family trait. Your second question, I was taught my magical skill in the court of Mournhold where the King of Morrowind lives. To answer your third question, its allowed in Cyrodiil because it is magic and, magic needs to be legal no matter what form it comes in, otherwise the empire would fall due to the lack of it. For your last question, I do care but, I don't care. I'll no longer answer that question any further..."

"How can you care but not care?" Ralen asked curiously. "That sounds really, really wierd, don't you think? I mean, care and don't care are opposites! So you can't care and not care at the same time? Can you? I mean, you're a mage, so it might be different, but..." Ralen shrugged helplessly.
The demonic horse trotted along placidly. Ralen was a bit surprised. She had expected a demonic horse to be, well, demonic. Trying to throw her off, for one. Or perhaps with a mane of flames and glowing red eyes.
"Oh and, er, what's my last question again?" The little Bosmer had clean forgotten.

It was too early in the morning for me to answer a question like that. So just to keep her quite on that subject I answered thusly:
"Ralen, I told you before that I wouldn't answer that question any further. So I ask you not to pester me on that subject."
It wasn't like I was reading her thoughts or anything but, I had the strangest feeling that she was going to ask about the demonic horse.
"The reason the horse isn't trying to through you off is because, it is under my control. Oh and your last question was why do I care."
After I had answered that I hoped that she wouldn't ask anymore questions like that about why I care but, don't care at the same time. My reason is rather simple. I care because if I wish to see that guilds destruction I must infiltrate it without any soul knowing what my true intentions are. I don't care because I'm a high ranking assassin and a well respected necromancer within another Dark Society.

"Er, why do you care about what?" Ralen asked curiously, with that sweet, bland smile on her face that somehow managed to make her look angelic despite the fact that she was an assassin, and a rather good one too. Just a bit lazy, and too easily distracted.
"Oh and can we please go a bit faster?" The little Bosmer asked, patting the mane of the demonic horse and letting out a surprised cry of excitement when she wasn't burnt, "I'm hungry! And I want a bit more sleep. I think I was having a nice dream...." Ralen lapsed into an all too brief silence, pondering about her dream.
To nobody's surprise, she lasted in that state for the whole of three seconds. "Say, Thanatos, did I ever tell you about that time I accidentally took a mage's ring? By accident, of course. I mean, I'm no thief! Shikura is though, or at least she steals by acci--Oh!"
With a distressed cry, Ralen clapped her hand over her mouth. That part about her Khajiit sister had just...slipped out.

I smiled at the fact when she discovered she had spoken just a little too much about her personal life. Personally I don't care, if she speaks about her friends. For I have friends as well but, its a shame I don't talk to them very often.
Ralen, I told you I wasn't going to talk about that subject anymore." I said with a rather stern voice.
However, I was happy when she had asked to go faster, for I hadn't noticed that we were only as fast as a mudcrab.
"So who is this Shikura you spoke about." I said as I picked up our speed from a walk to a trout.

"My Khajiit sister." Ralen said, in a small, more like tiny, voice. She looked (for once) sad and withdrawn, even wary. "Please, I'd rather we not talk about this. Please? Kura belongs to the past, and thinking about her isn't pleasant."
Ralen was fairly certain that dear ole Shikura wouldn't have approved of her being an assassin. Still, the Khajiit wasn't as daft as most seemed to think. At least she was smarter than those who thought she was daft. Kura was quite observant too. The Khajiit knew about her "dark side"; Ralen was certain.
Still, it didn't mean that talking about her Khajiit sister make her feel slightly guilty...
Ralen let out a irritable growl and shook her head.

A short while later (but too long, from Ralen's point of view), the two arrived at Leyawiin.
Ralen nudged the demonic horse forward, her "hunger" all forgotten at the excitement of being in a new place, even one as....foggy as Leyawiin. It looked....depressing though. Oh well. At least she and that Khajiit Speaker got on okay. Khajiits were fun.
"Thanatos, come on!" She yelled, nudging the horse forwards, in the direction of the stables. "Or are you gonna unsummon this horse?" She asked curiously. Ralen wondered what it would be like. Would the horse unravel itself and burn to ashes or something exciting like that? Or would it just turn into boring gray fog?
