It was dark and cloudless night a perfect night to kill in the name of the Dread Father Sithis. I however was in the city streets walking through them. Seeing the night life of Anvil, and what a night it was for a major merchant ship had just came to port tonight in the docks. I believe the ship was called “The Serpents Wake” it was a large ship indeed. Needed at least ten to twelve people to operate the ship correctly.
But, while I was walking I was approached by a Dark figure shrouded in shadow and Darkness. For I being the current head of the Anvil Sanctuary and, for being in the Dark Brotherhood for nearly sixty years I knew who this was. Without hesitation I deeply bowed before him and asked him
“What do you require of me, my Lord?”
“Assassin Thanatos of Anvil, you are required to kill a traitor from the Mournhold Sanctuary in Morrowind. He is an Assassin like you…Perhaps you will know him, his name is Lorinza McCoven he was once a member of the Dark Brotherhood in Mournhold like yourself. But, he has betrayed me and the Brotherhood alike. You will travel to the city of Layawiin here in Cyrodiil and, you will kill him and, send his soul flying into my Void…Now go! For I will be watching you…”
“Yes, my lord it will be done.”
When I told the Dread Father I would kill him he disappeared right before my eyes. It was amazing to see the Dread Father in person. However, I believe that was only an Avatar of him. But, just before I was to continue my walk, I suddenly woke up in my bed with a cold sweat.
I sat in bed for hours wondering if that was really the Dread Father that spoke to me through my dreams. However, morning was approaching and, Ralen and I needed to leave before sunrise. So I packed my things early and got Dressed. Once done I placed my things by the sanctuary’s entry then I began making my way to the living quarters so I could wake up Ralen and, we could begin our Journey towards Layawiin.

Ralen slept easily, curled up like a cat, dreaming of the Valenwoods of her native homeland of, well, Valenwood. No Dread Father disturbed her rest, but that was only to be expected. She was, after all, only a lowly recently-promoted Slayer with a talent for getting into trouble and annoying Jiub; nothing Sithis would be interested in with someone like Thanatos around.
The little Bosmer woke up suddenly and yawned, wondering what had prompted her to get up from her comfortable bed. Then she remembered that she was going on a journey somewhere with Thanatos! What fun!
Hurriedly throwing on more appropriate clothing, Ralen also retrieved her twin knives and her bow and quiver of arrows, deciding to dispense with the silver longsword since she hadn't had much practice with it in more than a month. The clothes she was wearing were rather plain, probably a little too colorful for an assassin, but they suited her well. If Ralen had not been carrying her weapons, she would have looked a lot like an old Imperial child, with her short build and child-like features.
Opening the door, Ralen literally crashed into Thanatos.
"Oops." The Bosmer squeaked.

While I was walking towards the living quarters of the sanctuary I began feeling the effects of lack of sleep, for it began to take its toll on me. After I had yawned I decided Ralen and I could grab a bite to eat before we leave. Just as long if our eating doesn’t take until sunrise…Better yet, we ride till Skingrad then we grab a bite to eat there.
When I reached to the door to the living quarters stopped then reached my hand out to open the large double doors. But, suddenly the doors came crashing into me and with Ralen with them. I however was knocked to the ground landing on my arse but, while I got hit my staff was sent flying down the hall in the opposite direction.
I have to say I was rather surprised that it happened. So, I gathered myself before I began to stand to my feet once again.

Ralen was also thrown back, and stared up at the now-standing Thanatos from her sprawled down position on the floor. She hoped she hadn't snapped her arrows. With a small shrug to herself, the little Bosmer scrambled up, her delicate Elven features rather red.
"I'm always crashing into things! Ask anyone! Let's see....I've crashed into Jiub and snapped his quill. I already told him I was awful sorry about that and it was an accident, but he hides his quills whenever I come along...And did I tell you about the time I crashed into an ogre? I was wandering around in one of those natural caverns near Cheydinhal, or was it Chorrol? Anyway..."
As she prattled on, Ralen dusted herself off and checked her quiver, finding, to her vast relief, that nothing was broken.

I have got to say walking directly into Ralen was not something that I wanted to do early in the morning. I was already lacking of sleep and, now my Mage’s Staff gets nearly destroyed. I wasn’t very happy about what happened but, I would get over it besides we have a long journey ahead of us and, I would rather we spoke then be in silence.
As I slowly stood to my feet I began checking my belt pouches for their proper equipment in them. Once done I began to dust myself off of the dirt from the cold ground of the sanctuary. I didn’t look at my sword for I wasn’t worried about it considering it being made of Daedric and, what not.
“Ralen, are you all right and, is there anything broken?” I asked her.
Once I asked her I looked at my black mages staff that was at least ten feet away from me. I then took my hand and flicked my wrist at my staff and, my staff flew from the ground and back into me hands once again. I then began looking over my staff for damage while waiting for Ralen’s replay to my question. Seeing no damage upon my staff and tools my slight anger subsided away from me.

Ralen seemed to be about to answer her Speaker's question, when Thanatos just HAD to make the staff fly back at him. The little Bosmer let out an excited squeal, and seemed to be about to tackle Thanatos, or snatch the staff, or both. Luckily for both of them, Ralen didn't do that. However, the Bosmer did ask,
"Can a hold that truly wonderous staff? I've never been able to do much magic myself, 'cept for that fireball and spark spell. But the effects are usually different from what the spellbook said. D'you want me to show you?"
If Thanatos had the smallest shred of common sense and/or sanity, he would have refused.

I waited silently as I Ralen was giving me her answer to me question. However, it was answer I wasn't expecting at all. I was hoping for 'Yes, I fine.' or 'No, I'm not.' not 'May I hold the truly wonderous staff?'
I was rather stunned to be honest. I didn't know what to say, to be frank. But, I told her what any other mage would have.
"Ralen, I'm sorry but, no. You may not hold my staff. It took me far too long to get this staff and, I'd rather not risk it getting destroyed."
That was a wise decision I thought to myself. For who knows what could of happened if something would of gone totally wrong.

Ralen let out a quiet sigh. Then she perked up again. "Oh well. I suppose I could always find another mage. Say, could you teach me how to make my own staff?"
The little Bosmer glanced around, putting on a solemn look. "Thanatos, shouldn't we get going? I'm getting rather hungry, and dear ole Jiub forbidded me from cooking..." She trailed off, and shrugged. The Speaker, sadly, wasn't here anymore.
She waited expectantly, looking up at Thantos, even as she continued fidgeting.

After dusting myself off and retrieving my staff I to was rather hungry. But, I made a goal for us and, I would be damned to oblivion if we didn't make that goal.
"Yes, Ralen we are leaving but, before either of can eat we must first make it to the city of Skingrad...Once we arrive then we can eat and, once after eating we continue our journey to Leyawiin." I told her.
I thought about what she had said about making her own staff, then my mind began to dwell on other thoughts for a moment.
"Ralen, once we are done with our business in Leyawiin I will take you to the Arcane University so you can make your staff but, you'll need to wait until then."
That answer should quite her for the moment I thought. Then again I was speaking about Ralen so there was a large room for error.
Once said to Ralen I began walking towards the main entry to the sanctuary so we may leave.

"Am I even allowed in the Arcane University?" Ralen called after Thanatos. Dusting herself off one last time, the little Bosmer trotted quickly to catch up. The Dunmer was so much taller than her, with longer legs. Ralen sighed quietly. Sometimes she wished she wasn't so short, but then and again, being short had its benefits.
"I thought you need recommendations from the Mage Guild halls to get in." The little Bosmer said, once she caught up. "Oh and we're walking right? Or should I go get my horse? He's called Kharskie. But he's got a habit of wandering off, even if I keep him stabled." Ralen shrugged.

"Ralen, it doesn't matter if your not allowed in the university or not. For I'll take care or everything personally."
As I was walking through the entry of the sanctuary I could hear Ralen behind me doing whatever needed to be done.
"We are first ridding to the City of Skingrad. There we will have breakfast or lunch depending on the time we arrive and, I'll be paying for either. Then we will ride to Bravil and stay there for the night if we are to be late. But, if we are to be early we will ride up to Layawiin non-stop."
Thats basicly what I had planned for the trip. No pit stops or nothing just to the destination and nowhere else. At least I hope things work out that way...

"Whoa, that sounds like an awful lot of riding." Ralen commented, with a gusty sigh. "Not that I don't like riding, but..."She shrugged. "Oh and seeing as you're using the term riding, I'm assuming we need horses? Or do you have a silt rider? Or better yet, can you summon a demon horse? That'd be fun." Ralen grinned cheerfully, still trotting. The disadvantages of being short, but oh well.
There was about five seconds of silence, then Ralen started speaking again. "How long to Skingrad?" She asked. Under her breath, the little Bosmer grumbled, "I'm hungry!"

Just before leaving the abandoned building I turned around to face Ralen with an evil smile on my face and, with evil intentions on the mind.
"Ralen, I'm a necromancer...Err...I mean I'm a summoner. Of course I can summon a demonic horse I wouldn't be a well known mage within the mages guild if I didn't know a few dangerous spells now would I?" I said to her.
I had heard what Ralen said under her breath and, I didn't mind, in fact I agreed for I was hungry also.
"If we leave soon, we should make it to Skingrad before Noon but, at the latest we will arrive at noon."
I hope those answers will satisfy Ralen's questions...Except the part of me being a necromancer and all...I was decieving the guild rather well until I opened my rather large mouth.

"If you say so." Ralen didn't know much about the mage's guild hierachy, but being a necromancer sounded interesting. "What's the difference about necromancers and summoners?" The little Bosmer only had the vaguest idea, and while the question wouldn't have done much harm while it was asked in the Sanctuary, they were now in a not-so deserted part of the city, and Ralen spoke loudly enough to attract curious stares.
"So, are you going to summon one? A demonic horse, I mean?" Ralen jumped from foot to foot in excitement, completely oblivious to the stares of passerbys.

Now that was a question I didn't want to hear nor want to answer, for fear of my fellow Mage Guild members over hearing our conversation. So, I being the patient dunmer that I am, I just smiled and continued walking towards the main gate even with people staring at Ralen and I. I didn't care I just wanted out of the city so I could "speak" to her.
Once we were outside of the city it wasn't a problem for me to look at her with a stern look that could bring her death closer. But, seeing how I would be breaking a tenant for killing her I will just scold her, for now...
"Ralen, yes I will summon a demonic beast for you so we may leave, but that is a question you do not ask me in public and, even though necromancy is legal in Cyrodiil, I will not openly admit I am one. For I would most likely to be hunted down and killed by the Mages Guild. For I have been told to be one of the best Mages for my age..."
Now that I got that off of my chest, I began to look around for a place so I can summon her a demonic horse. Summoning one wasn't a problem, the problem was finding a place to summon it so I wouldn't be accused as being a necromancer or "Dark Summoner".
Within my ranting I did find a nice spot right behind a few bushes. So I gave her the intention of her to follow me. Once we were at the spot, I began quietly chanting to myself so I could summon a demonic beast for Ralen.
