Story beginning----
The year was 3E 412 during the reign of the great Emperor, Uriel Septim VII. But to skip through tons of useless information that you obviously don’t need I’ll just skip to when my father, Geldall, I either was never told his last name or I just don’t remember his last name…Anyway, I remember the first time my father visited me for the first time in my whole life. My mother and I were living in a castle west of Chorrol in the province of Cyrodiil, on the continent of Tamerial.
Anyway I was playing a childish game with one of the servant’s sons when my father came to visit me and my mother. In fact I remember the year it was the summer of 3E 419. My father came riding into the castle’s courtyard riding on a strong white stallion, which was draped in an Imperial drape. He was accompanied by a Redguard whom was wearing a fantastic looking set of armor that had the colors of blue, silver, and gold and, he also carried a long curved sword with him. Overall I was in awe by the sight of their entrance into the courtyard.
Once into the courtyard I was such in awe I didn’t even hear him when he spoke to me for the first time. He then just walked up to me with a big smile on his face, but once at me he knelt down on his knee to my height at the time and said to me.
“Hello there young lad, I’m your father, I’m sorry I haven’t been here to see you grow up…” He said to me with a slight depressed looked on his face.
When I heard him the second time I was prepared with an answer.
“Well, I’m happy you meet you for the first time father, why haven’t you been here helping mother run the castle?” I asked with a sharp smile on my face.
I may have been young but, I was a smart fetcher… He looked at me puzzled for a moment, only for a moment though. Then he just smiled at me again and padded me on the head with a small chuckle following close behind. Then he began to replay to my question.
“Well, I’ve been away in the Imperial City. I’m a very important official in the city. I’m so important that I was given a personal guard, given to me by the Emperor himself, for I work close with the Emperor on a daily basis.” He answered confidently.
I was pleased with his answer, for at the time I didn’t know if he was lying to me or was telling the truth and, I was raised to tell the truth all the time. So I assumed my father was raised the same way as I. I nodded my head to his response of my question but, that brought up another question into my head. What exactly did my father do in the Imperial city? However, that question could be answered another time, I was just excited that my father was even here.
Soon after he answered my question he asked me where my mother was, I happily pointed him inside of the castle, he should of known the mother wasn’t really the outdoorsy type. He then thanked me and patted me on the head once more, and then proceeded to go into the castle to speak with my mother apparently. I shrugged it off and continued playing with the servant’s son.
It seemed like hours when he came out again to speak with me, this time I was on the castle’s scaffolding over looking my families land. When I turned around to see my father, I noticed what he was wearing. He was wearing fine regal clothing and a sword at his left side.
“I’m sorry my son, I never truly introduced myself to you. See your mother named you after me in my honor. I however only want you to know my first name, for if you know my last name it will only complicate things. My name is Geldall and, that is all you need to know for now my son.” My father said with a weary face…
Suddenly I woke up with a cold sweat across my brow and, I remembered that was only a dream, only a memory of what happened in my past. To this day I don’t know my true name, I only know my first name. I joined the legion at a young age, soon after my mother had died of a terrible sickness. I had no word of my father when my mother died so I joined the legion to get away from everything. I gave the castle and its lands to a close cousin, so I wouldn’t be the Lord of it.
In the year of 3E 420 I became a Knight Protector of the Imperial Legion, I was a respected General of the Empire at that time. I was now General Geldall II, Knight Protector of the Imperial Legion and, I was stationed in the Imperial City under the command of Imperial Dragon Adamus Phillida. He took me under his wing when we first meet each other but, whenever he and I talked it always seemed he held something back that he wasn’t telling me. The man was like a father to me when I was in the legion.
However one day after the Oblivion Crisis was over and the great Emperor Martin Septim had killed himself to save us all. I and the Imperial Dragon Phillida were summoned by High Chancellor Ocato to talk to him about something very important, or so I’ve been told. Imperial Dragon Phillida and I were seated in the grand council chamber instead of High Chancellor Ocato’s office.
The Imperial Dragon and I spoke to each other while we were waiting for the High Chancellor but, I could tell as he spoke to me he was holding me in a high respect then what he normally did and, don’t have a clue why he was doing this. Now that I think of it, I think he’s going to promote me to Knight of the Garland and, if he did that I would be the commander of all of the commanders in the empire, except for the Imperial Dragon of course.
Before I knew it High Chancellor Ocato entered the room with a large smile on his face. He sat down on a chair and looked at me and, then at Imperial Dragon Phillida.
“Welcome commanders of the Imperial Legion, I am High Chancellor Ocato and the empire’s Imperial Battlemage. I have summoned you both so we may speak of a very important matter.” Spoke High Chancellor Ocato.
“We are happy you summoned us High Chancellor, and we are also happy you chose us to help you with this important decision.” Said Adamus Phillida with a smile.
“How may we help you my Lord?” I asked
With that the High Chancellor striated up in his chair and then silently sighed to himself in what seemed relief…
“General Geldall II, Knight Protector of the Imperial Legion. Who is your father and where did he hail?” Asked High Chancellor Ocato.
“When I was young my father only told me his first name and not his last, but I don’t see how this information will be of any use to you High Chancellor.” I replied to the High Chancellor.
“Please, just answer my question General it is of great importance that I know.” Said High Chancellor Ocato with slight annoyance in his voice.
I sighed to myself and searched my memory banks within my head so I could recall the information for the High Chancellor.
“His name was Geldall, that’s all he told me when I was young and my mother didn’t tell me his last name before she died many years ago. He also told me that he hailed from here the Imperial Provence Cyrodiil and, that he worked in the Imperial Palace with Emperor Uriel Septim VII.” I answered to the best of my ability.
After hearing my words the High Chancellor and the Imperial Dragon looked at each other and smiled at me.
“Well General, I have good news for you. I know that last name of your father and your grandfather and your ancestor.” Said High Chancellor Ocato with a smile
I was excited when he said this to me, I just wanted to hug him and thank him so much but, I needed to hold my professionalism in front of the High Chancellor and Imperial Dragon. However I’m pretty sure they could tell I was excited. For I had moved from me sitting perfectly straight in my seat to me sitting on the edge of my seat.
“I can see your excited to know what your father’s last name was. You are a descendant of Tiber Septim or better known as Talos and you are the son of Crown Prince Geldall Septim and the grandson of Emperor Uriel Septim VII and nephew of Emperor Martin Septim in his very short reign. You are the only surviving Septim from the Oblivion crisis.” Said High Chancellor Ocato with enthusiasm and excitement.
“As the sole surviving heir to the Septim throne it is your duty to step up and take it and, be name Emperor of Tamerial.” Added Imperial Dragon Phillida.
I was stunned with this new information I had just received from the High Chancellor. My father was Crown Prince Geldall Septim this whole time and no one told me. I was so furious at my mother for not telling me and at the Imperial Dragon for he knew but, didn’t tell me. However I’m happy now that I now know this or I would have been an assassination target of the Mythic Dawn. With my excitement I stood up from my chair and began to speak thusly.
“As my father failed to do, I shall not. I will take up the Septim throne and be named Emperor of Tamerial. For I am the son of Geldall Septim!” I announced
