"So, after leaving that Nord, I saw this ring. It was so....shiny, and so pretty. I thought it'd look great on me. Not that I really like jewelry that much, but still....Say, is it just me or is this Sanctuary a little too dark an, er, un-jewelry-ry? It's just like Anvil. Way too dark. Are all the Sanctuaries like that?" Ralen prattled on, excited that someone was finally listening to her.
"Yes, yes, these Sanctuaries are a bit....dark. It's hard to read." Keyir agreed, trying to hide the irritation in both his face and voice. The little Bosmer had a point though. It was nigh impossible to read in these Sanctuaries, unless one conjured faerie fire, used night-eye or lighting a candle. Very unhealthy.
"Yeah, so where was I with that story?" Ralen mused. All that talk....it was really quite distracting.
"The ring." Keyir said helpfully, trying not to roll his eyes. "You were saying it was shiny and pretty."
"Oh yeah. I saw this shiny ring, and I put it on! And whoosh--"
"Ralen...Ralen, this is Thanatos. I'm in front of the Leyawiin Sanctuary with your sister Shikura following trying to locate you. Could you please come out here and, meet her so I may leave this be damned city!"
Ralen blinked. "Um, that's not part of my story!" She exclaimed.
Keyir also blinked. "What isn't?" He asked. This Bosmer was getting stranger by the second. In fact, she ranked right up there with the furball M'aiq, sewer surfer Speaks and drunk blonde Attlide.
"You know, that part about Thanatos, and Shi--Hey! How'd it know about Shikura, whoever it is?" Ralen was getting more confused by the moment. Who dared interrupt her storytelling? "Okay, stop talking now, voice in my head!" She ordered sharply.
Keyir sighed. "Has it occured to you that this might be a mage trying to contact you? You should probably do what it said, whoever it is. And...whatever it said, I guess." At least this would give him an oppurtunity to ditch that Bosmer.
"Uh....okay! Following voices would be fun! I'll tell you all about it when I get back!" Ralen said brightly. "Say, did anyone ever tell you that you should go get some sun? You're kinda...pale, y'know?"
"Shut up." Keyir muttered under his breath, when the Bosmer was well out of earshot.

As she bounded up the stairs, Ralen wondered how the voice knew about Shikura. Unless the voice really was Thanatos? She had a...slip of tongue earlier. She really had to be more careful. She was supposed to act like an idiot, after all. Wouldn't do to have people suppose otherwise, or her cover'd be blown.
And that would be a bad thing.
She hesitated, reaching for the door handle. Ralen wondered if Shikura was really outside. She didn't want to see Shikura! The Khajiit was overly clingy, but, well, they were still sisters. Ralen didn't want to hurt the Khajiit, physically or otherwise. And what if Shikura actually knew that she was a member of the Brotherhood?
This was a bad, bad situation.
Ralen tried to reach out with her mind.
Thanatos? She asked hesitantly, quite sure that either she was really going as insane as she pretended to be on a daily basis, or that this was a situation that she didn't even think of in her worst nightmares.
