((Much revised, as I decided that murdering an entire village was too drastic.))
Name: Silence
True Name: Aeirleine (although she prefers Lein)
Other Aliases: Jasla, Kasla, Rimfaelyn, Maedrena (abandoned) and many, many more. Silence likes her secrets and privacy, after all.
Gender: Female
Race: Bosmer
Rank: Speaker of Cheydinhal Sanctuary
Horse: Black mare named Nightflight
Other "pets": A cat named Shade, whose personality is surprisingly similar to that of Silence herself.
Other felines can also be found in Tal'galar sometimes.
Current place of Residence: Fort Tal'galar: a gloomy, more-or less abandoned fort located in some place Silence doesn't care to mention. Filled with traps enough that even she has trouble going through. There are very little guards, but hey, who needs guards when you've got enough traps to kill more-or-less anyone?
Silence can also be found in the Cheydinhal Sanctuary.
Weapons: Elven Longbow of Frost, Elven shortsword, Daedric, steel and Elven arrows, Elven dagger. Sometimes carries an silver longsword. She always carries around several bottles of deadly poisons everywhere, well concealed. Some of them are bought in a store, but most of them she brewed herself.
Spells: Silence isn't much dedicated to magic, although she does know some useful spells like Flare, Night-eye, Detect Life, ect. She mostly deals in the School of Destruction, almost never in Restoration (unless it's a minor spell to heal herself) and even less in Conjuration.
Appereance: Silence is a Bosmer of medium height and rather slender build. Her eyes are a bright, blazing green like green flames. They sometimes burn even brighter when she's furious, which was quite often. Her hair is just below shoulder length, and a red-brown(auburn) colour. There are several streaks of dark and golden brown in her hair. Her skin is slightly pale, but also slightly tanned. She is slender, quick and agile, like most Bosmer.
Personality: Aeirleine's alias, Silence, suits her really well. Silence is evasive, hates answering questions related to her personal life, and is one of the most secretive people in all Cyrodiil. Few knows where she lives, and most don't even know that she exists outside of the Black Hand, aside from the higher-ranking members. Silence doesn't really like using magic, and isn't much good at it. She likes sneak attack tactics, mostly just picking of her opponents with a deadly arrow. She likes to torture her victims to death when she can get away with it.
Silence doesn't like talking much, and is rarely called upon to recruit new members as her dark manner scares most but the bravest or the most foolish off. Probably the person she speaks mostly to is Kalikir, the Listener and her closest friend. She's quite good at evading questions, and making threats.
Did I mention Silence was also one of the most paranoid members in the Brotherhood? The Bosmer never eats or drinks anything before casting no less than three different types of detect poison spells, and sniffing the mixture first. There are always exceptions to this rule, of course, but very few and far between.
Basically, Silence is snappy, sarcastic, secretive, paranoid, and delights in torture and poisoning.
History: Silence was born in the elven village of Anreth, some distance away from Cheydinhal, near Fort Farragut. She had a younger brother, Glarthir, who can now be found in Skingrad. Her earlier years were happy enough, until her darker tendencies showed themselves. From then on, it all went downhill.
Like it was said before, the village was small, and it was hard enough to find anything to do even if she was completely normal. Silence started practicing skills that were suited to an assassin. That was encouraged, as it wasn't uncommon for the village to be attacked by bands of goblins or wild wolves.
But something that was not encouraged was Silence's love of thievery. The young Bosmer was quite skilled at it, not to mention she loved it. That earned her quite a few punishments from the Altmer, Thraun, who was in charge of the law and order in the village, and possibly the leader of the elves there, if they have one.
Then, one day, while protecting the village from yet another band of goblins, Silence misfired and accidentally killed one of her fellow villagers. To make things worse, the elf that she had accidentally shot was Cinke, a young Bosmer just past childhood. That got her exiled. It was completely unfair, as Silence was just trying to protect her village, and kind of ironic, seeing as what would happen later...
Perhaps her sentence wouldn't be so severe had she not already have a record. Thraun the Altmer had judged that Silence was trying to sabotage the village. She would have been executed, but she was young, and elves revere life, especially Bosmer. So it was just exile, which was possibly worse.
Raging at everyone, especially Thraun, Silence left the village, not that she had a choice. She wandered for some years, and joined the Thieves Guild, where her skill in thievery was finally appreciated. After a while, she left, and journeyed to other places in Tamriel.
A few years later, she returned to Cyrodiil. Or, more specifically, to the elven village Anreth, where it all started. Using her wide array of skills, she sneaked into the home of Thraun (you guessed it) and murdered him.
And the rest, as they say, is histroy. I'm sure I don't have to go through how Silence advanced through the ranks of the Dark Brotherhood, seeing as that would just be boring. Suffice enough to say that she finally made a friend, Kalikir, and got to the rank of Speaker.
