LOST AT SEA UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Name: Sjoring the Brave
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Race: Nord
Guild: Skaal of Solstheim
Rank: Chieftain
Weapons: Sjoring carries with him a large, two handed axe known as Eloymeir, bane of the elf. It has been passed down through his family for generations, since the Nedic people first settled in Skyrim. It is enchanted to deliver a bone-chilling frost to whomever suffers its end, paralyzing them and causing heavy amount of damage at the same time. Eloymeir has a long handle made of pure iron, names carved along its side containing the names of every man who's ever wielded it. Its blade is made out of a metal from Atmora which bears many similarities with silver, except it has never been scratched, no matter how used. Its incredible weight keeps only the mightest of warriors wielding this weapon, and Sjoring see's no reason to carry any other.
Magicka: Sjoring disregards the secrets of magicka, preferring to leave the business of wise men to the Elder.
Armor/Clothing: Like most of the Skaal, Sjoring wears light bear armour, allowing him to move across the battlefield quickly and compensating for the weight of Eloymeir. He was tasked with hunting the bear, Ornulf, after he defeated the second Udyrfrykte. Skinning the bear, the Elder of the Skaal enchanted it to further defend him from frost and provide strong resistance against magicika. The Bear Armour of Ornulf, along with the axe of Eloymeir, makes Sjoring a formidable warrior.
Horse: Sjoring has no horse, preferring to use his own legs or boat.
Residence: Skaal Village, Solstheim
Appearance: A tall, rugged man bulging with a massive bulge of muscles, he used to be called Sjoring the Strong, before he killed the Udyrfrykte and offered to hunt down the Udyrfrykte Matren. A strong chin and his crooked nose are his most notable features on his face, and his common Nordic shoulder length hair is kept wild. As with all Nords, Sjoring has pale skin and stands over six feet tall. When not wearing the Bear Armour of Ornulf, he can be found in lighter and less effective furs, all of animals he has slain. He keeps his face clean-shaven under the belief that it may be seized in battle, and many of the younger warriors copy his example.
Personality: Sjoring is a rough and direct Nord, casting aside all needs of diplomacy and loyalty to the Empire. He is outwardly hateful towards Imperials and the Empire, High Elves also earning their scorn because of their racist views. Which would make him a hypocrite. Not terribly bright off the battlefield, Sjoring is an expert in battle, war and hunting, the common traits of any Nord. Because of his families long territorial disputes with the Empire and the Elves, first the Ayelid then the Dunmer, he has grown openly hostile toward all of them and seeks to recover the old ways of the Nords, where they raided ports and were a feared and exalted race. More specifically, however, he seeks to claim all of Solstheim for the Skaal, there's by right, and to throw the Empire from his homeland. But because of the long enmity between the Skaal and the Dunmer, he wishes to strike a decisive blow against both the Empire and the Dunmer by attacking Morrowind. He is obviously ambitious, like most of his race, and has often dreamt of traveling to Akavir.
History: Born to Chieftain Haggard of Skaal, Sjoring was destined to be a great warrior. From an early age, he was taught to fight in the Nordic way, smash your enemy so hard and quickly they'll never have a chance to blink an eye. He proved to be a quick learner, and was much beloved by his father, who often took him out on longboats and taught him how to raid Dunmer and Imperial settlements, though they never practiced it directly, they still held mock battles with the other Nords and commonly went out to battle the goblins. Sjoring practiced with axes often while Haggard taught him the principals of battle and hunting. Sjoring advanced rapidly, until the entire village realized that he would become a fine warrior. No task was too great or too small for Sjoring, he would do everything to making the mead, to hunting the boar, to battling the encroaching goblins. However, a sudden and brutal attack brought him out of his perfect world.
Years ago, the mead hall of Thirsk had suffered from a Udyrfrykte, who murdered nearly everyone there. Though the Udyrfrykte was eventually slain, the mead-hall had never fully recovered from its huge loss and fell into disrepair. When Sjoring and most of the men went hunting, Skaal village was attacked by a second Udyrfrykte, leaving alive only two children who had hid in the basement of their house and listened to their parents horrific screams. Sjoring was horrified when he found the children, they only kept pointing to their mother, trying to pick her up. They were walking corpses, practically. The Elder informed Sjoring that it had indeed been a Udyrfrykte who had attacked and warned him it would come again. Sjoring hastily prepared a trap, in which all of the Nordic warriors would hide in the village while everyone else went to a small fishing hut by the coast. The Udyrfrykte came and walked into the village once again, greeted by the dozens of vengeful Nord warriors. The fighting was fierce and bloody, but Sjoring managed to fight the Udyrfrykte out of the village. Among the casualties was his father, Haggard. Angered, Sjoring took Eloymeir and hunted the Udyrfrykte down. It was a long and drawn out fight, but eventually Sjoring emerged victorious with the Udyrfrykte's head. The Elder then proclaimed Sjoring chieftain of the Skaal, but he quickly informed Sjoring that the Udyrfrykte would continue to plague the world, so long as the Udyrfrykte Matren lived. Sjoring claimed only the greatest warrior could achieve the feat and agreed to hunt the beast down. The Elder was pleased and told Sjoring of the sacred bear, Ornulf, who could only be killed by a man with noble intentions. Sjoring hunted and killed the bear, and was gifted with the Fur Armour of Ornulf. Now, with only Eloymeir, the armour of Ornful and his skill, Sjoring hunts the Udyrfrykte Matren.
