The Khajiit turned to look at Gerich, surprise flickering over her furry features. Her ears pricked up. She nodded eagerly. "Brother thief already knows that Shikura's dear sister is called Ralen Jalarann, yes? And that she is small, with auburn hair, and very pretty green eyes that suit her well?" The Khajiit smiled fondly, as she saw Ralen again, in her mind's eye. "She uses twin knives, very quick, and just goes like this!" Shikura made a slashing motion with both hands, as if wielding her sister's twin knives, with an enemy in front of her. "Swish! Thawk! And her prey is dead! Ralen is a good hunter, yes she is."
"What else?" The Khajiit pondered. "She uses a bow, like most Bosmer. Shikura does sometime use a bow, but claws are so much better. Also-"Shikura lowered her voice, leaning in closer, and looking around furtively "-Shikura knows that Ralen has a dark side, even though most call her 'hyper and annoying'. They also call Shikura that, oh yes they do."

Gerich was confused about what Shikura called the 'dark side' within Ralen and herself, but figured he would understand a little more in the future.
"I see," Gerich said, thinking of whether he met this woman in the Brotherhood.
While he was there, he knew a few Bosmers. Kalikir, Silence, both in a very high rank. He didn't think they would ever consider thieves, so he took them off his list quickly.
"Well, like I told you, I will help you in your search for her. I am sure we might find her soon." Arax smiled as the two continued to walk towards the Waterfront.
"If you don't mind me asking.. what do you mean by a dark side within Ralen?"

Shikura's eyes widened. Oh, no, oh no! Ralen made her promised not to tell. "Sh-Shikura does not know what you mean!" The young Khajiit stammered, flushing beneath the golden fur of her face. "Please, do not ask Shikura about her dear Bosmer sister now, we must complete the job for master thief!"
Shikura hurried away, stepping past Gerich. Her frantically waving tail gave some sign of the turmoil within the young Khajiit. What to do now? What to do? Shikura wondered.

Gerich could tell his Khajiit companion had made some sort of mistake. Was she supposed to tell anyone about the dark side of her friend? Well, Gerich would leave it as is for now, and get back to the task at hand.
Gerich quickly caught up with Shikura, and tried to calm her down. "I apologize, Shikura. I should not have asked you that question. You're right, we should get back to the task at hand."
Gerich, now flustered, watched and attempted to fall in step with Shikura as she was in turmoil.

"We are searching for the Imperial guard captain, yes?" Shikura asked. Well, she did know, so one could say it was more of confirming the information. "Does brother thief know where he can be found. Shikura does not like the dirty little no-fur." The Khajiit wrinkled her nose, large ears flattening. "He has tried to sent me to prison some time ago. Shikura cannot help what she takes!"
The Khajiit bared her fangs in a snarl, her attention drawn away from Ralen for the moment. There was a job to be done for her brother thieves right now. If it involved humiliating the guard captain, so much the better.

"He is to be found in the Waterfront. I would advise you not to do anything too rash, for there is a blood price if he is to be killed. Humiliation, if desired, can occur. I won't stop you, so long as we get our job done." Arax said in a calm, emotionless voice.
"He is most likely patrolling around Armand Christophe's home, as always. We'll search there first."

"Shikura is not stupid. She is familiar with the blood price." That was the Khajiit's only answer, with considerably more emotion in it than Gerich's voice; most of it negative. Why did all these furless beings seem to think themself superior to Khajiits, one of the so-called beast races, along with the Argonian people, with their scales and tails?
"Armand Christophe? Shikura does like him. Sells lockpicks to this Bosmer-Khajiit. Initiated her into the Guild of Thieves too." The Khajiit nodded, her ears returning to their upright position. Keeping them flattened for too long was irritating.
"Let us go then." Shikura remarked, setting off again, although a bit more slowly.

"Okay then. Let us go." Gerich said, his voice continuing to be emotionless even if Shikura's was not.
Gerich would not let Shikura's feelings get in the way of his success on this mission. As the two reached the Waterfront, Gerich quickened his pace so that he could get to Armand's house faster. He wanted to catch the Imperial Guard Captain as quickly as possible, even if it meant leaving Shikura to lag behind.
When he got near Armand's home, he moved off to the side so that nobody who passed by would see him. When Shikura got near him, he would direct her over so that they could watch the Guard Captain and monitor him.

Shikura growled to herself as Gerich overtook her. She walked faster, but still more or less catiously, until she was next to Gerich, who was at the side of her house. The Khajiit's tail twitched. "What now, Brother Thief?" She asked, her voice low so she would not attract any unwanted attention. Her yellow eyes looked at Gerich inquistively.

Gerich whispered in a low voice, the same that Shikura was using.
"Now, we wait for the Mages to act on what we have done."
Gerich continued to watch the Guard Captain as he walked around Armand's home. Various members of the Imprial Legion wandered by to report their failed attempts to find the Gray Fox, or any other important theif for that matter.
"It could take as little as a few minutes, or even a few hours," Gerich muttered to Shikura, although to anyone else it would have sounded as if he was speaking to himself.

Shikura's tail twitched irratibly and she scowled. Stupid spying missions. Stealing something would have been a lot more fun. Her thoughts started drifting away as the minutes passed, to everything from fluffy Gerich-shaped clouds and why dirt was brown.
Meanwhile, a young Imperial approached the guard captain, saluting and standing to attention smartly. "Sir! 'Em mages said somethin's wrong!" He barked out, with a military voice that seemed forced.

Gerich heard the young Imperial and turned his head quickly, trying to figure out if this was what he was waiting for. As he turned his head, a mage appeared next to the young Imperial, holding a note for the Guard Captain.
"Well, what do we have here, mage?" The Guard Captain asked as the mage handed him the note before using a spell to make himself invisible once more.
Gerich ignored the mage as the Guard Captain skimmed through the note. Afterwards, he dropped it and yelled, "Ok boys! Seems like them Mages got stolen from. Let's go find their theif, since this is fruitless!"
As soon as the Guard Captain said this, all of the Legionnaries hurried towards the tunnel to return to the Temple District, and from there would go back to their posts. This mission was done.
A few minutes later, Gerich walked over to where the note was, and picked it up. He turned towards Shikura, and said, "We need to get this back to Hecerinde."
Gerich started to pace back to the master-theif's home, ready to find out whether this mission was done or not.

Gerich's voice finally pierced through Shikura's daydreams and musings. "Hmm...?" The Khajiit murmured sleepily, and only became fully alert when she noticed that Gerich was picking something off the ground. She got back into a more normal and comfortable position and stretched, yawning widely.
"Shikura thinks that was boring!" The Khajiit remarked, almost petulantly. "Should we go now, Brother Thief? Shikura's fingers itches to acquire some interesting items."
She hurried after Gerich.

"Yes, we are going now to Hecerinde. Then you may acquire whatever interesting items you would like, Khajiit Sister." Gerich replied in a amused voice.
He continued to pace as the two theives got closer to their objective.

They finally arrived without any incident, which was lucky, with someone like Shikura around. It was a wonder that the Khajiit was still alive, with the trouble that she always seemed to get into.
Hecerinde welcomed them in warmly enough, inviting them to sit down and have a drink. Shikura gladly obliged, and promptly choked from swallowing too much water quickly.
